Fashion retailer Republic has seen a 40% take-up in its employee discounts scheme over the past six months.
Its Backstage Pass scheme, which was introduced at the end of 2011 and is provided by Asperity Employee Benefits, is aligned with the firm's recognition scheme, Recognition Rocks.
Packs were handed out to employees containing thank-you cards, Guru badges and SuperStar scratch cards, which enabled managers to recognise high performance behaviour among their employees.
Employees who were awarded a scratch card were able to redeem their prizes through the discounts scheme.
The scratch card initiative has been repeated as part of ongoing communications.
The fashion retailer has 2,500 employees across 121 stores.
Sarah Chitty, senior HR business partner at Republic, said: “Our external brand thrives internally in everything we do so it was imperative our new benefits package reflected that.”
