The European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has increased take-up of its employee discounts scheme following a roadshow in October.

The roadshow, held with provider Asperity Employee Benefits, gave the financial investor’s 1,400 employees the chance to ask questions about the scheme and take home gifts, such as piggy banks branded with the EBRD logo.

EBRD has had the Reward Gateway 4 scheme in place since 2009, offering discounts to high street retailers.

Since it went live, the scheme has achieved an average of 77% employee engagement each month.

Despite these figures, engagement had remained stagnant over the past few months, so the roadshow was held to reinvigorate staff engagement with the scheme.

Employee engagement with the scheme jumped to 83% following the roadshow, and employee spend through the online portal has risen significantly.

Julia Kemp, associate manager for compensation and benefits at EBRD, said: “The roadshow was a great way to keep our employees excited about their benefits and to keep the programme fresh.

“Many of our employees who were not registered, or had not really been using the site, were given a hands-on demonstration of the product and could ask any questions they wanted.”
