BNP Paribas has introduced a physiotherapy referral service, removing the need for GP referral.
The service, which includes on-site physiotherapists, was launched on 1 May and is available to the bank’s 4,000 employees and their families via its private medical insurance (PMI) scheme.
One-third of BNP’s medical spend is on musculoskeletal issues, which often lead to physiotherapy. Thomas Hiles, reward consultant at BNP Paribas, said: “A number of employees might be having about 20 sessions a year, which is very possibly just for pain relief.”
The triage service is provided by Nuffield Health and Axa PPP Healthcare.
