Britvic has seen 93% of its workforce enrol in its flexible benefits scheme that it introduced in the summer.
The soft drinks firm, which manufactures Pepsi and Tango in the UK, reported that employees were particularly impressed with offerings such as its home computing scheme.
It also took advantage of tax and National Insurance savings by putting its pensions scheme into the flex plan. Employees are able to salary sacrifice their pension contributions, which saved them and the company a significant amount of money.
However, Bob Lee, HR director at Britvic, who was speaking in the session 'Making the most of HR, payroll and benefits technology', said that its young male employees were the least interested in the flex scheme and that the firm would review how to encourage this group next time.
The company managed to set up the whole process online despite the fact that more than half of its employees are not PC-based.
Lee explained that the scheme was being run internally and this was down to the technology available.
