Emap, the radio, TV and magazine company, has had the best take-up rate for its flexible benefits scheme in 12 years following the implementation of an online enrolment system.
Speaking at a session entitled 'Effective communication strategies for flexible benefits' Stewart Grant, group benefits manager, attributed a 56% take-up rate to a highly visible promotion of the 'Lifemap' scheme that incorporated posters, postcards and sweets, and to the online system that he said suited a tech-savvy staff.
Some 72% of Emap staff went online to view benefits. The company also recently launched a home computing initiative provided by Red PC.
