Employers looking to galvanise their reward strategies should take encouragement from the 'state of the nation' address to be given at the conference.
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) will discuss its annual reward management survey within the show's keynote speech, which opens each day of the conference on 6 & 7 April.
Duncan Brown, the CIPD's assistant director general, and Charles Cotton, reward adviser, will discuss how the benefits landscape is changing and how trends such as total reward and flexible benefits are no longer considered short-term fads, but rather key benefit ideas.
They will look at how reward is becoming more and more important to business' bottom line and how communication and education will continue to help this shift.
The session is free to attend, so arrive early to avoid disappointment. Everyone at the keynote will receive a free copy of The Benefits Book 2005, our annual guide to benefits and providers, now in its fourth year.
• Session A1 & B1 'Strategic Reward Management in 2005: Doing it better rather than doing it different' is at 9.50am on both 6 & 7 April.
