Enterprise Rent-A-Car is launching a communications campaign to boost take-up of its stakeholder pension scheme and increase the contribution levels made by members.
Personal letters and flyers tailored for three specific groups of employees, new starters, staff who have just been promoted, and those who have signed up to the pension plan but are not contributing themselves, will be sent out in January.
The car hire firm contributes a percentage of its employees' salaries to the plan regardless of whether they contribute, with the amount depending on their length of service and how much they earn.
Donna Miller, European HR director, hopes the communication effort will increase employee understanding of the pension scheme.
"We are sending out very clear and easy-to-understand communication pieces that will help staff to prioritise their spend on pensions to suit their budgets," she said. "We are giving employees the support they need to make the decision."
Take-up of the stakeholder scheme among the company's 3,500 UK workers is currently 45%, but Miller hopes that it will reach 55% following the first round of communications.
