Almost a third (31%) of employers believe that healthy working means eating healthily at work, according to a research study for Investors in People conducted by Ipsos MORI. The 2007 survey What does healthy working mean? reports that 24% of employers admit that they have not taken steps to improve the health and wellbeing of their staff because they do not understand how best to do so. A further 17% of employers say that they have taken no action because it would be too expensive. Some 30% of staff think their employer believes healthy working is a wasted investment, is not their responsibility, is a waste of time, or does not mean anything.
