The Employee Benefits Summit will open with Nita Clarke, director of the Involvement and Participation Association and deputy chair of the UK government's Review on employee engagement, delivering a keynote speech called 'Employee engagement and the output of organisations in difficult economic times'.
Clarke will discuss issues such as engaging employees into the upturn, encouraging increased discretionary effort in a slow-growth climate, and the importance of creating a strategic narrative within an organisation.
As deputy chair of the Review on employee engagement, Clarke is also co-author of Engaging for Success, a report issued by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills on effective employee engagement, which includes online guides, tools and templates for employers to use.
