Experience days can reward staff by providing them a day to remember

Any motivation strategy, including bonus schemes, should have clear targets, offer valued incentives and be linked to performance. Linking incentive schemes with business strategy can also prove highly effective in boosting employee motivation levels as this can make staff feel more valued. However, cutting back on motivation schemes in an economic downturn could be a false economy as staff morale is vital to a business’s long-term prospects. Low-cost ways to motivate staff include awards for long service, suggestion schemes, and recognition schemes. Vouchers, certificates, small gifts such as flowers and experience days can all be used at little cost.
