Nadeen Barker-Jackson, reward consultant at Axa UK, explains what it means to win an Employee Benefits’ award.
Axa UK was awarded ‘Best car and travel benefits’ at the Employee Benefits Awards 2013.
What has winning an Employee Benefits’ award meant to you and to your team?
Winning the award has been a fantastic boost to myself and to the wider reward team who work very hard to ensure that employees are placed at the very heart of our benefits offering. It also makes us very proud to be able to communicate this as part of our benefit package.
What have you done to communicate your award win to your organisation and to employees?
We have run a number of internal communications to cascade to our wider employee population, as well as including the Employee Benefits Awards’ logo on our scheme literature.
What has the award meant to the organisation and to employees?
Company cars form an integral part of our benefits package and winning the award has boosted the value of this to our employees and to the overall organisation.
What would you say to other employers to encourage them to enter the Employee Benefits Awards 2014?
It has been fantastic to receive external recognition in support of the scheme and has helped us cement, reinforce and re-engage with our employees in promoting this benefit.
The category formerly known as ‘Best car and travel benefits’ has been renamed ‘Best travel policy’ for the 2014 awards to encourage entrants to emphasise the range of benefits their travel policy offers, including company cars.
The Employee Benefits Awards 2014 are open for entries. The deadline is 18 December.
