Elan IT is to finally offer its 400 employees a fully flexible benefits scheme from July after the framework for its scheme was introduced almost two years ago, in August 2005.
Its Central Perks-branded scheme currently offers core benefits which are allocated according to employees' length of service and grade. From July, it will provide employees with a flex allowance to spend on benefits.
Ade Atekoja, compensation and benefits manager, said: "We have always had [the capacity for] flex built into the system, but we only gave people what they were entitled to. Now we are at the final stage of the process."
New perks that will be added to the plan include critical illness cover and a cycle-to-work scheme. These will sit alongside existing perks such as private medical insurance, a healthcare cash plan and holiday trading.
