Nine out of ten reward practitioners would recommend a career in reward, according to WorkatWork, the US-based total rewards association.
Speaking at the opening session of its conference Total Rewards 2013 in Phildelphia, USA, WorldatWork’s president and chief executive officer Anne Ruddy, said: “[Reward] has a tremendous impact on employers and employees everywhere.
“Top performers in reward have to have good technical competence.”
According to the WorldatWork 2013 total rewards professionals’ career development survey there are eight differentiators of top performers in total reward:
- Technical mastery
- Strategic business understanding
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Communication and connection
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Passion and proactivity
- Continuous learning
- Development support system
“These eight key differentiators will take you to the next level,” said Ruddy.
