Edenred is launching a series of guides aimed at helping employers understand their obligations in promoting eyecare to staff.

Coinciding with the Vision Matters National Eye Health Week (13-19 June), the benefits provider has also developed a white paper called Developing a Company Eyecare Policy – Your Options and Legal Obligations. The document guides businesses through what the health and safety regulations mean for employers and how they can comply.

Andy Philpott, marketing director at Edenred, said: “Eye health is often seen as a ‘tick box activity’ for employers that simply add eyecare cover in benefits packages without fully understanding the importance of promoting healthy eye sight to staff.

“However, we want to bring the issue to their attention via our guides and support the work of Vision Matters.”
