Retailer DSG international (DSGi), owners of Currys and PC World, has launched a new voluntary benefits scheme for its 26,000 UK-based employees and is considering rolling it out internationally later this year.

The new scheme was launched following the withdrawal of DSGi's previous provider HBOS from the voluntary benefits market and the appointment of Motivano by the retailer instead.

Staff now have access to discounts on fashion, leisure, entertainment, health, beauty and travel products and services.

The new plan was communicated to staff via posters, email and the internal intranet system. On-site promotional
days were held at the firm's main sites in Hemel Hempstead and Bury.

Staff have the option of signing up for the benefits online through a customised website.

Sally Ward, reward manager, said: "Broadly speaking, the deals that staff have are better under the new scheme."
