Pizza chain Domino's has launched a cycle-to-work scheme for its head office employees as part of its efforts to reduce CO2 emissions and improve staff fitness.

The scheme, which went live in September, enables its 311 eligible staff to hire a bike via a salary sacrifice arrangement.

Employees who choose to pedal to work can make savings on tax and national insurance contributions (NICs). Employers also save on NICs, as well as VAT on the cost of each bicycle package.

Domino's joined forces with You At Work to offer the scheme. The pizza firm communicated the perk using targeted, personalised emails.

Jane Roberts, HR director at Domino's, said: "Our business is growing at an exceptional pace and our HR strategy needs to reflect this growth."
