Dairy Crest plans to send out total reward statements to its senior employees next month in a pilot exercise designed to assess the value of the benefit to staff and to drive take up of existing perks. If deemed a success, it will roll out annual total reward statements to all 8,500 UK staff.

Rob Tansey, HR director, said: "We will send out one set of statements, and if it seems that we are getting any value out of it we will do it for the rest of our staff."

The statements will initially be in paper form, although online versions will be used in the future.
