Cyclescheme has launched a new website aimed at employers which operate, and employees who participate in, bikes-for-work schemes.

For participants, Cyclescheme has created a community section where users can access vital cycling information, news and reviews as well as being able to engage with their colleagues. Employees can forecast their mileage, see how many calories they may burn and how much carbon dioxide they could offset.

The website also includes an online savings calculator which figures out how much participants can save and which equipment they should get. Users provide an idea of their budget and the website will do the rest.

It can also suggest particular types of bikes and accessories that will suit their needs, while keeping them updated with how much they can save and the benefits cycling to work will bring.

Cyclescheme has created an employer section which includes a benefits calculator that illustrates how much employers’ national insurance contributions (NICs) an organisation can save by implementing a scheme, answers to frequently asked questions, brochures and Cyclescheme videos.

Daniel Gillborn, head of commercial operations at Cyclescheme, said: “The creation of the new Cyclescheme website will engage with our audiences like never before.”
