Critical Software Technologies, based in Southampton, has been commended for demonstrating a commitment to the health and wellbeing of its employees.

Healthcare provider Simplyhealth recognised the firm's efforts by presenting it with its Healthy Workplace award.

Jayne Veazey spokesperson for Critical Software Technologies, said the firm ensures that the offices are stocked with healthy snacks and fruit. There a leisure room where staff can unwind and take time out from their work and play table football. Half price gym membership is also provided to employees.

In addition, employees are briefed on issues such as health, work-life balance and team working.

Veazey said: “We provide our employees with the opportunity to utilise our flexible working policy and allow employees to take additional leave in lieu of extra hours worked."
