Credit Suisse is to reward several hundred managing directors in the UK with a discretionary one-off bonus payment as part of its efforts to remain competitive.
The investment bank confirmed the cash payment will be deferred over three years and is linked to its financial performance. This also means the payments will be subject to "clawback" if related performance falters.
A statement from the bank read: "Credit Suisse is committed to remaining competitive in the United Kingdom. We are recognising the commitment to our UK leadership team with a discretionary leadership award. The award is long term in nature, deferred over three years, tied to the return on equity (ROE) performance of the bank and is subject to clawback provisions."
