Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank has seen take-up of its payroll-giving scheme grow from just over 0.5% to 10.76% in just 10 months.
The bank relaunched its scheme with an extensive campaign to promote awareness among its 10,000 UK-based employees. It is now on track to receive the government-accredited Gold Quality Mark award as approximately 1,105 of its employees give to charity each month through payroll.
Jacqui Atkinson, Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank's community affairs manager, said: "We are delighted with the response from staff to the payroll giving initiative, particularly in such a short period of time."
The bank's charity partner is the British Heart Foundation (BHF), which 22% of staff donate to. Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank matches employee donations to BHF.
Workplace Giving UK worked with the bank to promote the scheme and improve take-up.
