Something for the weekend…

At a time when money is tight, some employers will be looking at their employee benefits as a possible area where they could save money. It would seem the Chinese military is no different.

The Central Military Commission (CMC) in China has published a list of regulations for its high-ranking officials which bans them from indulging in alcohol, luxury banquets, welcome banners, red carpets, floral arrangements, formations of soldiers’ performances and souvenirs when working, according to China’s Xinhua news agency.

It would seem that the military personnel’s bikes-for-work schemes and pension provisions are safe from cost cutting… for now.
