Chapel Down has launched a wellbeing scheme to help keep staff hydrated at work and encourage a healthier lifestyle by giving them the chance to self-assess their own health and grow vegetables.

The wellbeing scheme includes voluntary access to an interactive health kiosk which enables staff at the firm to assess their general health. Vital signs including weight, hydration quota, body mass index, body fat content, heart rate and blood pressure can be measured in around five minutes.

Staff also have access to quarterly health and nutrition seminars at the firm's offices. These are run by the scheme's provider Water Wellpoint to help staff learn more about how to improve their health.

Following the introduction of the programme, employees at Chapel Down have played a role in creating their own vegetable garden. At the garden staff can grow vegetables for their own consumption or to sell at the on-site restaurant and shop.

Frazer Thompson, managing director at Chapel Down, said: “We recently rebranded the company, and I want our people to reflect the brand - to feel and be more effervescent, to be a bit more like the World Class fizz that we've got in the bottle. I want them to enjoy what they’re doing and, if they’ve got more active minds and bodies, I think they’ll do that. A healthy team is a happy one.”
