Centrica has extended total reward statements to 1,800 more employees and moved them online for the first time.
The company previously offered paper-based statements to 200 managers, but this year rolled them out to a further level of management, and plans to extend them to the whole workforce, where possible, in future years.
Craig Truter, reward programme manager, said the statements, issued to staff last month, have been moved online to comply with the company's environmental policy. The move also enables them to be updated more frequently.
The statements are split into four areas: total cash, covering all aspects of pay and bonus; wealth creation opportunities, including all awards made to staff, for example in shares; benefits; and investment choices, such as shares held under the firm's sharesave and share incentive plans.
