Center Parcs has joined the Geared for Giving Campaign and launched a workplace giving scheme for its 6000 employees.†
The payroll giving scheme enables employees based in the firm's head office and its four main locations across the UK to give to a charity of their choice tax efficiently. Employees make tax and national insurance (NI) savings on every donation they make because it is taken directly from gross pay. ††
Center Parcs joined the Campaign in response to a letter from MP Anne Snelgrove urging companies to support the Geared for Giving Campaign and help charities raise extra money by making all donations tax effective.
†
Margaret Mitchell, HR reward manager, said: †“We are delighted to join this scheme and to be able to offer our employees the opportunity to make charitable donations through their salary. Furthermore as part of our commitment to supporting charities, Center Parcs will be covering the administration costs involved so that our employees can be sure that the whole of their donation will go the charity of their choice."
