Real time annuity quotes are now available to Capita Hartshead's clients following the launch of a new online tool.
The latest addition to Hartlink Online allows employees to see what pension they can purchase with their ‘pension pot’. The online application lets employees generate quotations direct from the main annuity providers all within seconds.
Members can also choose just what type of annuity suits their circumstances and investigate a range of options including both conventional lifetime annuities and ‘smoker’ or ‘enhanced’ rates.
Furthermore, requests are sent straight to the provider, with responses only taking seconds and being immediately visible.
Jacqueline Conroy, head of annuities and risk broking at Capita Hartshead said: “Selecting an annuity is often a difficult and complicated process for members.
"We have tried to make sure that they understand what options are open to them by providing a tool which allows instant access to providers and quick ‘real time’ results.
"Keeping up with members’ needs is core to our strategy and the earlier they start to understand what options they have and how these will affect their retirement income, the better.”
