Cadbury Schweppes is helping its staff to avoid drink-driving unwittingly while still under the influence of alcohol the morning after an event. The company is using the Blow Me testing service, which breath-tests individuals to ensure they are fit to drive.
Cadbury is using the breath-testing service at an event this month, having used it at a sales event last year.
Steve Rose, director of the Blow Me testing service, said: "It is not about trying to catch anyone out, it is just trying to stop people from unknowingly drink-driving. Typically, it is for events where there is a free bar until the early hours and staff are put up in a hotel overnight and need to get in their company cars the next morning. We would be in the hotel lobby breath-testing them before they leave."
