Cadbury Schweppes has added new perks to its voluntary benefits scheme after a group-wide survey revealed employees' demand for discounted products.

Suzanne Laverick, UK employee benefits manager, explained this was the first time that the organisation had polled all of its staff about its benefits schemes.

In response to the findings, it has added a bikes-for-work scheme, and discounted retail and travel products to its voluntary benefits plan.

The results, released last month, also showed that 55% of Cadbury's staff rated the annual flexible benefits package as very good or excellent, while 82% of employees said that they valued its Anytime voluntary benefits package.

"Our manufacturing population tend to like the voluntary benefits more than the core programme because obviously we can't communicate as easily with that population of people, although we are working on it," Laverick added.

The company has now proposed to launch a wine club in April.
