Building firm Saint Gobain has found that childcare vouchers were the most popular benefit in its recently launched flex scheme. The company, which owns brands such as Jewson, launched the flexible benefits scheme in October but options took effect from January. David Sweeney, compensation and benefits analyst at Saint Gobain, said that only 6% of employees had made changes to their benefits package and that retail vouchers had proved particularly unpopular. The company is now looking at how it can improve the scheme, run by benefits provider Personal Group, by surveying its 13,000 employees.
