Technology firm Brother UK has been awarded the Pension Quality Mark (PQM) for its defined contribution (DC) pension scheme.
The award, launched by the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) in 2009, recognises organisations that offer pensions schemes with good contribution rates, good quality governance, low charges, and clear and ongoing communications with its members.
The DC scheme is available to the Japanese firm’s 329 UK-based employees.
Joanne Dixon, senior manager, HR at Brother UK and Brother International Europe, said: “Our employees play a fundamental role in the ongoing success of Brother, and we strive to provide an attractive employment package to help us attract and retain a high-calibre team.
“The Brother pension plan is one of the benefits we offer, and we are delighted to have received the Pension Quality Mark for this, helping us demonstrate our commitment to employees, as well as creating a benchmark standard within our industry.”
Joanne Segars, chief executive at the NAPF, added: “The mark is a clear signal to Brother employees in the UK that there is a strong workplace pension on offer.
“Pensions like this one can really help people save for their retirement, and they benefit from employer contributions and tax breaks.”
