BPP Law School has switched employee assistance programme (EAP) providers to help staff cope with stress at work.
The education establishment, which offers postgraduate law training to people wishing to become solicitors, already offered a similar counselling service for staff, but the new scheme has been extended to their families.
HR manager Suzanne Emmings said: "The new scheme covers more work-related things. As well as general stress and bereavement, it covers people who are having difficulties at work, for instance if managers are stressed or people are not getting on with their line manager."
She added that by moving the service to healthcare provider Bupa, the law school also gets a discount on its annual medical examinations for senior staff.
