Benefex Group has acquired Premier Employer Solutions (PES) and its subsidiaries, allowing it to expand the types of consultancy and reward services it offers.

The deal means Benefex is able to offer more reward, benefit and broking services tailored for the small and medium-sized market. It can also offer childcare vouchers directly to employers.

The PES division of the Benefex Group, which has 350 employer clients, will be run under its original brand. PES’s existing customers include Apple, Biogen, Getty Images, Gloucester City Council, GMTV, Henri Lloyd, South Staffordshire Water and Virgin.

Matt Waller, group chief executive officer at Benefex, said: “We have always stated we would consider acquiring businesses that complement our strategy and service to our clients; PES and its subsidiaries fit this bill perfectly.

Ian Rummels, who runs the new PES division, added: “We are focused on providing a place where [employers] can get a full range of integrated, quality and flexible support.”

PES covers four business areas: HR and people performance, employment tax, health and safety, and reward and benefits.
