The BBC's head of reward, Roger Fairhead, has left to take up the role of head of international compensation and benefits at Sony Pictures in June. In his new role, Fairhead will be responsible for all Sony's operations outside the US. In his time at the BBC, Fairhead oversaw the introduction of the first phase of its flexible benefits scheme, and the closure of the BBC's final salary pension scheme to new members. Before moving to the BBC, Fairhead was group compensation and benefits director at the Rank Group.
