Pensions consultant Barnett Waddingham has appointed Damian Stancombe (pictured) as a partner in its employee benefits and defined contribution (DC) team.
With 20 years’ experience in the pensions and benefits industry, Stancombe was previously at Punter Southall Group.
Over 12 years, he held the roles of head of corporate DC and director of P-Solve, where he was shaping its DC investment proposition.
The appointment follows the current head of practice Clive Grimley’s retirement. Grimley joined Barnett Waddingham in 2003.
Nick Salter, senior partner at Barnett Waddingham, said: “[Stancombe’s] significant DC and employee benefits experience in the UK makes him a valued addition to the firm.
“Employers continue to face a challenging environment with their pension schemes and employee benefits issues and are looking for uncomplicated and pragmatic advice, which our experienced and straight-talking team are well placed to offer.
“I look forward to working with [Stancombe] and the rest of the employee benefits team to increase our influence in this exciting area.”
