Barbon Insurance has increased maternity and paternity benefits and revamped gym membership perks for its 700 staff.

Employees can pay for their gym membership, provided by Incorpore, through salary deduction. Each employee also receives a £60 subsidy towards gym membership.

Barbon has also increased its maternity and paternity benefits beyond statutory levels. Sarah Minter, rewards manager, said: “We are raising it to one week’s full pay for paternity and 10 weeks’ full pay for maternity.”

In January, the firm will raise its employer pension contributions by 1% or 2%, depending on length of service. Minimum holiday entitlement will also be increased from 23 to 25 days.
