B&CE is increasing its group life benefits that it offers to members of its benefits scheme. The body, which provides an employee benefits package to the construction industry, is increasing lump sum life cover from £17,500 to £20,000 at no extra cost to employers. From the end of June, it will also increase the amount paid out in case of a work related accident to £40,000. The decision to extend the cover was agreed during the Construction Industry Joint Council's pay and benefits agreement and covers 215,000 workers.
