EXCLUSIVE: Axa UK has created a dedicated microsite through which staff past and present can access all of the organisation’s employee benefits information.

The website allows staff to access information on the insurer’s flexible benefits, voluntary benefits and pension and share schemes.

More than 6,500 employees have visited each of the benefits sites and viewed more than 35,000 pages since the microsite launched in August.

Nadeen Jackson Barker, HR reward manager at Axa, said: “What we are trying to do is pull together all of our benefits information from our internal intranet and bring it together in a dedicated microsite.

“Once accessed, employees spend just over three minutes on the website and access around five pages, which suggests we have good navigation and information is easy to find.”

The website includes:

  • Information on the flexible benefits on offer.
  • Access to information about current or past membership of the Axa pension scheme.
  • Information on any previous or future investments in the share plan.
  • Link to its voluntary benefits site, which has deals and discounts on Axa products and external retailers.
  • Interaction with online information and educational tools.

As part of the site launch, Axa has increased discounts on its own products, such as home insurance, which now offers staff a discount of 35%.

The website will also soon be fully mobile-responsive.

Jackson Barker added: “The motivation for the site is to provide a one-stop shop for employees.

“We have not introduced any new benefits this year but have concentrated on information given to employees to make it easier to find out what is on offer here at Axa.

“We want to make it more accessible, which is what we are doing by making it mobile responsive.

“By no means is this the finished article. There is still some work to do. We want to give it more of a total reward look and feel.”
