EXCLUSIVE: Archbishop Sentamu Academy in Hull is to launch a second bring-your-own-device scheme for its 200 staff in the next academic year, which begins in September.
The scheme enables staff to buy an Apple device, such as an iPad, that can be used in the classroom, via a salary sacrifice arrangement. About 30% of employees bought a device through its first scheme, launched on 3 May.
Anthony Bennett, vice-principal at the Academy, said: “This is a cost-effective way of staff purchasing their own device, and it has enabled us to progress our IT strategy without having to invest academy resources, which are limited.”
