Staff at hospitality services provider Aramark have been provided with nutrition and lifestyle advice from a team of specialist nurses.
In the pilot of a health awareness partnership, Aramark teamed up with the Flora brand team at Unilever Foodsolutions to invite staff at its Leeds office to attend advice sessions at which their cholesterol, body mass index and blood pressure were tested. Staff were asked about their food consumption as well as alcohol intake and smoking during the 15-minute session.
Val Carter, corporate social responsibility director at Aramark, said: "Looking after our employees' wellbeing is a priority. These consultations aren't a box-ticking exercise. They're about showing out teams in practical, sustainable ways that we care about their health and wellbeing. This in turn helps them take responsibility for their lifestyle, which includes and can affect, their performance at work."
