Aon Hewitt has appointed Andy Cox chief executive officer for the UK and Ireland, and Yvan Legris chief executive officer for UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The Aon and Hewitt union formally closed on 1 October, creating a $4.3 billion organisation.
Andy Cox was previously managing director of Hewitt in the UK and Ireland, while Yvan Legris was previously president of global consulting for Hewitt.
Cox said: "A tremendous opportunity awaits us in the UK and Ireland. We have real depth in the offers that we can take to our clients, from insured benefits solutions to all aspects of pensions and HR – and now we also have even greater breadth and depth in the quality of our people.
"It is likely the next few years will be ones of economic restraint, with organisations having to grapple with key HR issues. Between us, both Aon and Hewitt were already working with many of those companies, but together we are even better placed to extend our relationships, and to bring them and other organisations even more effective solutions."
Legris added: "Now all the procedures and approvals of the deal are completed, I am thrilled to be taking on this leadership role.
“It was clear Aon and Hewitt were genuinely complementary organisations and, as one united firm, we can provide our clients with a wide range of cost-effective human capital and risk solutions to help them solve their most complex business challenges.”
