Something for the weekend: Advertising agency AML Group has opened an online pub, inviting employees to join them at the virtual bar.

The new pub on the scene, called AML Arms, means that employees can pop by for a drink or two after a hard day working in their home office. Just like any typical night down the pub, employees can share gossip with their colleagues, engage in heavy debate, or just have a laugh with fellow co-workers, the perfect answer to keeping in contact while social distancing.

Not wanting to exclude anyone, dogs and kids are also welcome to join in the fun, as long as they don't make too much of a mess.

The family-friendly business also hosts music and comedy acts to entertain online guests from the comfort of their own homes.

Ian Henderson, chief executive at AML Group, said: "Ad agencies thrive on close collaboration and the best ideas often come from chance conversations, so remote working could be a real challenge. Instead, thanks to smart thinking and good use of technology, AML is finding that new ways of working can bring new energy.

"It’s just one way AML is staying positive in the current crisis. The organisation is also working closely with clients like AXA and Vanguard to continue delivering global campaigns, supporting the UK Government with security communications and investing in social and financial inclusion projects like The Big Exchange."

Here at Employee Benefits, we'd love to pop by and have a quick drink at the online pub. We promise not to get too drunk and disorderly.
