Chinese insurer Alltrust has formed a partnership with expatriate health insurer Bupa International.

From 27 January 2011, Alltrust will offer a range of health insurance products for expatriates working in China, which will be administered by Bupa International.

Henry Du, chairman of Alltrust, said:“Our partnership concludes a rigorous search for the right partner. Bupa operates in 190 countries around the world, and has a wealth of experience, which will be great assets to us as we look to continue to grow in China."

Alistair How, managing director of Bupa International, added: “This is an exciting opportunity for both Alltrust and Bupa International. We are pleased to be working with such a well-established and respected company in China. We look forward to a long and successful relationship, delivering the best possible health insurance for customers.

“Our multilingual team will be there for Alltrust’s customers every step of the way, from the moment they call to let us know they need treatment, to helping them find the closest suitable hospital – we will even make appointments on their behalf – so they can focus on getting better.”
