Air hostesses who haven’t been paid for up to nine months after their airline folded have responded by adopting a carefree approach to dress codes – by wearing nothing at all.

Nine flight attendants from now-defunct Spanish carrier Air Comet have dared to be bare for a charity calendar to “continue to publicise their situation and demand a solution,” said hostess Adriana Ricardo, who appears in the calendar in the flesh, so to speak.

The airline failed to pay staff for nine months before it finally filed for bankruptcy last December.

Michel Velasco, of Azafatas Alta con Tacon, an agency for flight attendants and models, said the women were hoping to raise money from the calendar “to help their financial situation”.
