Helicopter manufacturer AgustaWestland has launched a new pensions website for its £630 million pension scheme.
The defined benefit (DB) scheme, which has over 5,000 members previously had no online provision.
The website, which is provided by Shilling Communication, offers access to Pensionline, the scheme administrator Aon’s interactive platform, where members can look at their personal pension details and an online news alert so the pensions team and trustees can keep members more up to date with scheme news and information.
Kate Webber, pension manager at AgustaWestland, said: “It enables us to provide an online resource to our members and trustees which is flexible, easy to maintain and at relatively low cost. Our early indications show the members are very happy with the website we have developed.”
Sam Waterhouse, consultant at Shilling Communication, added: “The pensions manager and the trustees wanted an easy-to-use site that could be the primary reference point for all the scheme’s pension material.
“As part of this, they also wanted a design that reflected both what the company does and its people, something clean and eye-catching. We are very pleased with how the site looks, it is engaging and visual but also fit for purpose – easy to navigate, informative and useful.
“We are seeing more and more projects such as this come through the doors and it is a clear reflection of schemes realising that , in order to communicate effectively with all their members, they need to embrace a mixture of communication techniques – of which online plays an increasingly vital role.”
