The Global Share Alliance has expanded with the addition of North American share registrars American Stock Transfer and Trust Company, Canadian Stock Transfer Company, as well as Wells Fargo Shareowner Services.
The alliance, which was founded by Equiniti, Link Market Services and Tricor in 2011, represents over 40 million shareholders worldwide. It supports international organisations that require share registration and employee share plan services in multiple countries using a single platform.
John Parker, chairman of the Global Share Alliance and managing director of Equiniti Shareholder Solutions, said: “The alliance was established to facilitate a holistic approach to corporate actions and all the necessary supporting services.
“With growing numbers of UK employers expanding their operations into multiple countries, we have continued to see increased demand for commonality of support internationally.
“The addition of these new North American partners means that the alliance can provide employers with the widest possible coverage.”
