Computershare has completed the acquisition of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) portion of Morgan Stanley’s global employee share plan services business.

The acquisition, which was first announced in February 2013, will transfer to Computershare the business’s recordkeeping, administration and trade executive services for corporate shares and option-based compensation plans to a range of EMEA-based employers.

The integration is being managed by Martyn Drake (pictured), managing director of Computershare’s UK employee share plan business.

Stuart Crosby, president and chief executive officer at Computershare, said: “We’re pleased that the acquisition has closed as planned and that we can get on with integrating the two businesses.

“We have a proven track record of successful integrations and I am confident that [employer] clients on both sides will see benefits in the near future.”
