All employees at window cleaning firm Cam Specialist Support will receive the living wage of £7.85 per hour, or £9.50 in London.
This is higher than the current national minimum wage of £6.50 per hour, and will be paid to all those working for the organisation regardless of whether they are permanent employees or third-party contractors and suppliers.
The living wage is an hourly rate set by the Living Wage Foundation and updated annually. It is distinct from the national living wage announced in the Summer Budget 2015.
Matt Johnson (pictured), managing director, at Cam Specialist Support, said: “Paying a wage that people can actually live on is absolutely the right thing to do morally and financially. Our employees are people not commodities.
“We want to attract and retain quality staff and so reward them accordingly. As a London-based organisation, we pay the living wage of at least £9.15 per hour in London.”
