Something for the weekend…
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg (pictured) has revealed extravagant plans to build an eco-friendly town for staff to live in.
Called Zee-town, this will be close to the firm’s San Francisco headquarters. The plans consist of a 200-acre plot complete with roads, supermarkets, hotels and homes for 10,000 employees and their families.
Accommodation will range from villas to dormitories designed for trainees at the start of their career with the social media giant.
The eco-friendly designed plans also show oak trees planted on 40-foot high roofs.
Here at Employee Benefits, we’re taking bets on whether employers in the UK will be following suit.
