OCS Group-living wage-2015

Outsourced Client Solutions (OCS) Group has been accredited as a living wage employer.

The international facilities management business has committed to pay the living wage to all members of staff at its UK headquarters.

The living wage is an hourly rate, which is set independently, updated annually and paid by employers on a voluntarily basis. It is calculated according to the basic cost of living using the Minimum Income Standard for the UK.

The living wage is currently set at £7.85 and £9.15 in London.

Chris Cracknell, chief executive officer of OCS Group, said: “Well-trained and well-motivated people are critical to our business and our ability to deliver top quality services.

“All the evidence from studies carried out in organisations that have implemented the living wage is that the living wage improves employee loyalty. This, in turn, translates into high levels of retention, lower absenteeism and better quality of service to clients.”

Rhys Moore, director of the Living Wage Foundation, added: “The benefits the living wage brings to staff and business are clear.

”Facilities management is an important sector in the UK in terms of the value it adds and the number of people it employs. We welcome this leadership shown by OCS Group to the living wage.”
