Horsepower could beat staff travel woes

Something for the weekend…

Did this week’s pesky tube strikes make commuting to work a disaster?

Well, ahead of next week’s planned industrial action, perhaps good old-fashioned horsepower is an option to consider.

Employers looking to offer travel support for affected staff could take their cue on travel policies from a man in Brazil who came up with a new method of travel: using a horse to pull him along on a cross between a chariot and a wakeboard.

There could be one slight problem for employers though. Traffic might just cause issues for a horse and sleigh, so a bikes-for-work scheme might be better suited to employees’ journeys.
